JA Finance Park is now open to homeschool students in Wabash Valley!
Throughout the 12 educator-led lessons, students learn essential financial literacy concepts such as credit scores, insurance, budgeting, and saving. On December 11th, the students will come to our ELC to participate in the JA Finance Park simulation where students will be assigned a randomized persona including their job, income, credit score, and family size and learn to create a 1-month budget for their families. The simulation will start at 8:45am, and end at 1:30pm, including a 30-minute break for lunch. Students are expected to bring a sack lunch.
This program costs $7/student, which includes: a student workbook, digital teaching guide, digital curriculum, and the onsite simulation. Homeschool groups with 12 or more students will be provided a printed teaching guide. Groups smaller than 12 students are able to purchase a printed teaching guide for an additional cost. JA Staff will train educators and provide support throughout the program.
